I create large-scale abstract oil paintings that embrace the tension between opposing forces. My brushstrokes and use of palette knives are instinctive and energetic, guided by emotion and lived experiences. Growing up on the Mexican border and commuting to the US almost daily for two decades shaped a bi-national perspective that continues to inform my work. This bi-national experience, my emotions, along with realities of the present world, help guide my painting.

I work across multiple concurrent projects, some conceptually driven and others informed by art history or sustained explorations of color. These projects often begin with a specific emotional state and unfold across large-scale paintings and smaller studies, evolving through ongoing research, reading, and engagement with exhibitions.

The result is my interpretation of raw emotions through dynamic movements, where bold, high-contrast colors evoke both turbulence and calm. My work channels instability into compositions that arrive at a fragile, yet powerful, equilibrium.
